Centient was founded by Greg B. Scott, a senior executive with over 20 years of experience in biotechnology, management consulting and business management in startup, large pharma and Fortune 500 environments.

Mr. Scott has held senior executive positions in management consulting and technology firms including MCI, Price Waterhouse and Capgemini. Mr. Scott has helped launch and/or served on the board of over twenty life science startups and was co-founder of Groundswell, a 200-person consulting firm with clients including Celera, BioSpace, Esoterix, Incyte and Pharmanex. He is president and co-founder of Life Science Angels, an angel investment group focusing on biotech and medical device companies, and previously chaired LSA’s biotech investment committee. Mr. Scott attended University of Missouri, where he studied microbiology, mathematics and computer science.
