Greg B. Scott – CEO, Founder

 

Mr. Scott has helped launch over twenty life science startups as an investor and/or advisor. He is also president and co-founder of Life Science Angels and ChinaBio™ Accelerator , private equity investment groups focusing on early stage biotechnology and medical device companies (www.LifeScienceAngels.com, www.ChinaBio.biz). He is also publisher and executive editor for Golden State BioBusiness News™ and ChinaBio™ Today, print and email/online newsletters focusing on the life science industry (www.BioBusinessNews.com, www.ChinaBioToday.com).  Mr. Scott previously held senior management positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Capgemini and MCI. Mr. Scott attended University of Missouri, where he studied mathematics, microbiology and computer science.

 

Frank H. Eeckman, M.D., Ph.D. – Chief Science Officer, Co-founder

 

Dr. Eeckman was an early innovator in the genomics revolution, leading Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories’ bioinformatics team on the Human Genome Project. He has helped launch three biotech startups and headed discovery groups at Parke-Davis and Pfizer. He serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of several biotech companies, and provides investment analysis to several venture capitalists and fund managers. Dr. Eeckman holds an M.D. cum laude from U. Ghent Medical School, Belgium, and a Ph.D. in Physiology from University of California – Berkeley, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

Our business consultants bring many years of senior management experience at biotechnology and medical device companies with a strong focus on business strategy, science and regulatory affairs, and funding strategy. Some bring extensive experience in shepherding FDA approvals, from pre-clinical studies through Phase III approvals. Some have been involved in startups, from seed-stage funding through product introduction, while others have been on the other side as angel investors, venture capitalists and fund managers.
